TERRAMOR BEYOND THE GATES | FALL 2026 11 Spoligh Sry Brandy Brown - Who We Know Brandy Brown's story begins in 2007, when an always smiling 18-year-old Brandy and her cousin were dreaming about their futures. She knew college wasn't the path for her, so the two decided to apply to United Parcel Service. Her cousin quickly received a call for an interview, but Brandy didn't. Instead of giving up, she followed up with UPS herself and that call led to an interview and the job. As she puts it, it taught her to "never give up on going after something you really want." Brandy started as a part time loader, tackling the big trailers with determination. She knew she wanted to grow within UPS and eventually become a driver with her own route. Just two months later, she was promoted to hazmat responder, a role she proudly held for nine years. Her next step was becoming a utility driver moving wherever she was needed. Wanting to excel she rented a U-Haul, buckled her two kids into the front seat, and practiced driving until she felt confident. Over the next year, she bid on routes and built her skills, all while maintaining a perfect safety record with zero accidents. Eventually, Brandy was assigned to a route that included the early development of Terramor's Overlook Drive. She also served Dos Lagos and Butterfield Estates, but Terramor quickly became her home base. "I cannot imagine delivering to anyone else other than the Terramor residents," she shared. "You all feel like family to me. I am so thankful." Today, she occasionally delivers to Sycamore Creek and Trilogy, but Terramor remains her constant. She loves her work even lifting the 150 pound boxes and working the 60 hour weeks, but proudly she feels like she "moved everybody into their Terramor homes." Brandy credits her mom as her greatest mentor, teaching her gratitude, perseverance, and respect. Her mom now lives with Brandy and her 15-year-old twins, Mia and Bella. Brandy shared she was grateful to be able to buy her mom a new car as a way of thanking her. As for regrets? "None," she says. Her future plan is simple: stay with UPS until retirement then relax just like her Terramor residents and friends. As we walk through our neighborhoods, chat with someone on an evening stroll, wave to neighbors along the trails, gather at community events, or hear the cheers coming from the pickleball courts, we're reminded that Terramor is so much more than a collection of beautiful homes nestled in the hills of Temescal Valley. Together, we represent an incredible community filled with talented people, rich life experiences, and inspiring stories. Many of our residents have dedicated their lives to serving others. Among us are firefighters, law enforcement officers, military veterans, healthcare professionals, teachers, and countless others who have made a lasting difference in their communities. Recently, our community witnessed exactly what Terramor stands for. During a pickleball game, our beloved neighbor, Bob "Coach" Smith, unexpectedly suffered a cardiac arrest. What happened next wasn't planned. It wasn't rehearsed. It was simply neighbors caring for neighbors. People immediately recognized the emergency and called 911. Others began CPR without hesitation. Many gathered in a circle, holding hands and praying. As the paramedics prepared to leave, Nancy Smith said, "Don't stop, we believe in miracles." And she was right. Bob is a miracle. After f latlining for 45 minutes, Bob survived. Even more remarkable, he recovered without any organ damage. For that, we are eternally grateful. This is who we are. Terramor is built on love, kindness, compassion, and the unwavering belief that we look after one another. Bob thanks everyone who helped save his life, and all of us are thankful to call this extraordinary community HOME.
