FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2026 71
Ladies Putters
The weather has still been playing games
with us but we still managed to get some
rounds in. Also, the Ladies Putter Group
held their Oldylmpics and were thrilled to
have several spouses joining us this time
and we hope to get more men to join us for
next year's Oldlympics. The competition
was fierce but fun.
We awarded medals in three categories:
• Lowest overall score after four rounds:
1st Phyllis Kates; 2nd Jolene Cooley;
3rd Jackie Morris
• Lowest nine-hole score in one round:
1st Phyllis Kates; 2nd Jackie Morrie;
3rd David Whalen
• Total holes in one: 1st Pat Whalen; 2nd
Jackie Morris; 3rd Elaine Brown
So, if there are any gals out there who
would like a little challenge in their lives,
we invite you to join us and give the
Ladies Putting Group a try. This is a low-
impact, high fun, very social, and slightly
competitive activity — and the best part
is that no experience is necessary. We have
extra putters and balls if you'd like to join
us. Our nine-hole putting green is located
at The Courts behind the pool area. We
putt on Monday afternoons at 4 pm and
on Friday mornings at 9 am. For more
information, please contact Elaine Brown at
(626) 589-9791 or Phyllis Kates at (909) 227-
0037. ~ Phyllis Kates
