Greetings from the Four Seasons Players Club! We hope you enjoyed our "Talent Show" presentation on Oct. 17. What made this show so special was the active participation of our community members and the enthusiastic reception from all our Four Seasons friends and neighbors. Below is a brief introduction in acknowledging Noreen Scott's dedicated efforts in writing and directing that show. Noreen Scott has been involved in music and theater since she debuted as "The Baby" in a production at the Muskoka Opera House in Ontario, Canada. Because of her unusual musical ability, she was singing on the radio at age six over the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. After moving to the US at about age 11, she began studying voice and since then her professional resume has only grown. Over the years Noreen has appeared and performed with many local musical and theatre groups and spent three years with the San Francisco Symphony. For about five years, she was Secretary of the Los Angeles Gilbert and Sullivan Society and has appeared in almost every one of the G&S operettas. But Noreen was not only a performer, she began to develop an interest in the technical aspects of theater productions. She began by writing short stories and plays and was first published in 1960. Although a lot of her learning in this area came from what might be termed as "on the job" she supplemented with formal education at both Pasadena City College and Long Beach State University where she received a degree in Music. Noreen and her husband, Lanny French, who was a professional opera and oratorical singer for over 20 years, traveled throughout the Western US performing in places like Ashland, OR, Santa Fe, NM, Denver, CO. and throughout California. Dear Four Seasons' Friends, you may contact us at any time for reasons connected to our performances by reaching out to Linda Hendrikson at (949) 842-0098, lindajhendrikson1940@gmail.com.
