28 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2026 | Club Happenings: "The Golf Club is more than just golf." Events in September/October included eight rounds of golf and a Karaoke and Comfort Food night at the Lodge. It turns out that the club has way more than its fair share of frustrated musicians, and I use the term "musicians" in a very generous context. However, we did find five voices of angelic quality! Pictured below are Irene Becker, Barbara Balser, Rosie Garrison, Mollie Smith, and Mary Swinney. All I can say is that Taylor Swift is very worried. Pictured below are Dennis James, Bill Swinney, Wally Garrison, and Kelly Collier. Do not quote me regarding this group, but it is rumored that they have been sued by 86 record and music companies for defamation of the character of "anything music related." A Club Cruise in New England and Canada is planned for Oct. 31 to Nov. 7. Meredith Becker, our Social Committee Chair, continues to put together dynamite programs! Want in on the fun? Membership applications (for players AND NON-PLAYERS) are available at the Lodge. Interested? Contact Blair Becker: 163blair@gmail.com The next Golf Club Membership meeting is scheduled for Dec. 22 at the Hemet Golf Course Clubhouse (around 1 pm). Meet e Golf Club Board: Over the last few months, I have been highlighting the members of the Golf Club Board. This month will be the last article in this series, and it will cover Elliot Yaeger (at left), our Tournament Chair. You can see Elliot and Fabian on the golf course almost every day. They moved into Four Seasons in August 2009. They were New Yorkers and both were teachers (Elliot taught high school math and Fabian taught art for 6th graders). Elliot owns the longevity record for Golf Club Board membership; he has been on the Tournament Chair for 11 years, an exceedingly difficult and time-consuming position.
