14 FOUR SEASONS AT TERRA LAGO ROADRUNNER | NOVEMBER 2026 By Leslie Hartje Looking for a fun way to meet your neighbors, make new friends, and enjoy a few hours of laughter and friendly competition? Come roll with us at Bunco! We meet the first Wednesday of every month from noon to 3 pm in the Assembly Room. Everyone is welcome! Whether you've never rolled a set of dice before or you're a Bunco pro, you'll fit right in. Bunco is a fast-paced, easy-to-learn dice game that combines a little luck, a little strategy, and LOTS of fun. We usually play four games, and there's no limit to how many residents can join. How does Bunco work? Don't let the rules scare you! It may sound complicated, but once you start rolling, you'll catch on quickly. There are plenty of players who are happy to help newcomers. We set up tables for four players, with partners sitting across from one another. Each table has three dice, a tally sheet, and a bell at the head table. The head table keeps the game moving and lets everyone know when the round is over. Each round has a target number: Round 1 = Ones; Round 2 = Twos; Round 3 = Threes; and so on through Round 6 = Sixes. On your turn, roll all three dice. If you roll the target number, you score a point for each matching die and keep rolling! If you don't roll any matching numbers, your turn is over, and the dice move to the players on your left. And here's the exciting part … BUNCO! Roll three of the target number, and it's a Bunco, worth 21 points! You can score 5 points for a three-of-a- kind that isn't a target number. We call that a Mini Bunco. The round ends when a team at the head table reaches 21 points and rings the bell. After each round, players switch partners and move to different tables based on wins and losses. By the end, you'll have played with lots of different people. At the end of four games, it's time for PRIZES! And because Bunco is even more fun with food, we share goodies along the way. Bringing a favorite dish to share is optional. We also have optional prize gifts. If you'd like to participate, bring a wrapped gift valued around $15-$20. Bring a gift, and you'll go home with a gift! We usually have a fun theme each month, which gives everyone an excuse to get creative. Below are some pictures from last year's Halloween Costume Bunco. On Nov. 4, Bunco is our canned food drive, and Dec. 2 is our toy drive. Watch for the fliers in the Lodge Lobby. Grab your friends and favorite dish and see what all the rolling and laughter is about. Roll, Laugh, & Have Some Fun!
