Social Committee Aug. 3, was to be an enjoyable and entertaining evening. About 60 residents and their guests spent 90 minutes with Peter Funt, the son of Allen Funt, the originator the T.V. show Candid Camera. Peter gave us some of the history of the show, told us stories of his dad and shared clips of various shows over the years. He also gave a short bio of his life and how he got involved with the show, both working with his dad and cohosting with Susanne Summers. It is amazing that the format of the show never changed even after 65 years and that people still fall for the jokes, gags, and tricks that the creators come up with and rarely complain about being "caught" by the camera. Most people think of as it as an honor to be on the show. Peter and his wife Amy were charming to talk to and were very interested in the Four Seasons community. They had books and CDs for sale at very reasonable prices which upon purchase proved to be as entertaining as the show. We hope to bring the Candid Camera show back again sometime next year and hope that if we do that those of you who missed it this year will be able to attend next time. We don't have an event planned for September but do look forward to bringing you the Halloween Party on Oct. 26. Tickets will go sale Sept. 10, and are $20 per person. Some things to look forward to are dinner, dancing, a hat contest, costume contest and who knows what else, there may be some surprises. We look forward to seeing you there. ~Melody Seewoster Bistro Committee We discussed several issues at the July meeting: A new deep fat fryer will be installed soon. There is a drain problem and a leak in the kitchen. Plumbers have been asked to submit bids to do the necessary repairs. The newly refinished and reupholstered chairs are back in the Bistro and look really nice. 18 The "New Neighbor Dessert and Orientation" was in July. Approximately 50 new homeowners attended. It was very successful. The next meeting is Sept. 24, at 11 am, in the Lodge Conference Room.
