country western dance big band dance Join us for "The Roaring 20s" (costume optional) on Sat., Sept. 7, in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Music starts at 6 pm. Dinner at 6:15 pm. The Big Band is made up of 15 stars in their own right. They play every kind of music dance bands traditionally play. Add to that a few special numbers you'll not hear or see anywhere else. While you are listening or dancing there will be solos, and group artists, as well as our own Nannette, who has a voice that's pitch perfect. If you love to dance, and dance to great music, in the style of Jimmy Dorsey, or Benny Goodman, you won't want to miss this great band. 80s plus club We meet the second Saturday of each month at the South Clubhouse at 3 pm. Spouses and caregivers are welcome. The event in September is catered. Reservations only money to be in by Aug. 30. Call Diana at 845-1182. Did you miss our introductory dances in August? Well, that's okay. Our functions for this month will still be a good opportunity for any resident, singles and couples, to come and see what we do and give Country Western Dancing a try. As a reminder, Country Western Dancing is for everybody. Singles and couples are equally welcome to come learn a dance, have some fun and meet some nice people. We start each year in September with very beginning line dance instruction and couples dance instructions. Line dancing instruction will be Mondays, Sept. 9, 16, 23 and 30, from 7 to 8:30 pm at the South Clubhouse. We ask a $2 donation for each lesson. As a special incentive the first lesson on Sept. 9, will be FREE. So, no excuses, come and give it a try. Instructions for couples will be held on Tuesdays, Sept. 10 and 24, from 7 to 8 pm at the South Clubhouse. There is no charge for couples lessons. This Sept. our dances in September, are on Fridays, Sept. 13, (oh, no!) and 27, from 7 to 9 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. We ask a $2 donation at each of our dances.
