Book Club Two paid assassins — both working for the federal government. When one starts picking off members of the Intelligence community, the other is tasked with finding and eliminating her. Soon, however, questions of who the true patriots are arise. Bestselling author David Baldacci takes us on the fast paced search for the killer and the reason behind her rampage. Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 9:30 in the Conference Room when Peggy Dashel will lead our discussion of The Hit, an exciting book. On Nov. 12, we will discuss Where'd You Go, Bernadette? by Maria Semple. Micki Rosen will facilitate our discussion of this very enjoyable book. All book lovers are encouraged to attend either or both of these meetings. We began our series by looking at where you go to find the help and the hope that you need. Hope is essential for living a full and productive life. In October we will discuss such topics as: Where do you get the power you need, How to live a joy-filled life, and The path to personal peace. Come and join us as we explore these subjects of interest to everyone. Everybody is welcome! We meet Tuesday evenings in the Lodge Ballroom from 7 to 8 pm. We provide an opportunity to meet others in the Four Seasons community, and a chance to encourage and strengthen one another in our walk of faith. Each lesson is self-contained, and everyone is welcome. Info., Don Cummings, (951) 572-5329. ~ Don Cummings African American Culture Club Our annual Labor Day Potluck was well attended. The food was delicious and plentiful. We listened to music, played cards, and laughed together. Everyone left with a smile on their face and in their heart. Our next event is our Christmas Gala. It will be held on Saturday, Dec.14. This is an "after five" catered affair. The Christmas Committee is in the process of finalizing the plans, but here are the preliminary plans… The tickets will go on sale the first week of October. The cost is $25 per person for advance sales, and $35 per person at the door. Plan for a fun filled event to kick off your holiday festivities. Our last two meetings this year, November and December, will concentrate on our agenda for 2014. Our goal is to make the AACC a benefit to you and our community.
