City Celebrates Holidays with Craft Fair, Parade, Party & More On Sat., Dec. 14, the City of Beaumont will host a variety of events to kickoff the holiday season. Please join us in celebrating. Arts and Craft Fair: An Arts and Craft Fair will be hosted by the Beaumont Senior Center from 4 to 9 pm, at the Beaumont Civic Center. For information or to be a vendor, please contact the Community Recreation Center at (951) 7698524. Christmas Light Parade: The 17th Annual Christmas Light Parade will begin at 6 pm, at the intersection of 12th Street and Palm Avenue. The parade will feature themed floats, decorated golf carts, and local groups showing off their holiday spirit. Participation is free. The deadline to sign up for the parade is Dec. 9. Applications are available at the Beaumont Civic Center, the Community Recreation Center, and on the city's website. Community Holiday Party: Follow the parade to the Beaumont Civic Center where the fun and festivities will continue with the arts and craft fair, Christmas Tree Lane fundraiser, holiday music, cookies, and hot cocoa! Awards will also be given to first, second, and third place winners for the best parade floats. Christmas Tree Lane Fundraiser: This second annual fundraising event will feature three Christmas trees that will be raffled for charity. Each tree will be decorated using one of the following themes: • Family: Toys, electronics, household items, beauty items, etc. • Food: Gift certificates to local restaurants, cooking utensils, etc. • Sports: Event tickets, sporting equipment, jerseys, etc. The public will have to opportunity to purchase raffle tickets and enter to win one of the three trees on display. The winner of each tree will receive all of the gifts on or under that tree. Raffle Tickets are 1 for $1 or 6 for $5. All proceeds benefit the Beaumont Charitable Foundation. Trees will be on display and tickets available for purchase at the Beaumont Civic Center prior to the event. You do not need to be present to win. The Beaumont Civic Center is located at 550.
