Bob McLean He is the best senior bowler I have ever seen, He is know as Bob McLean, He is more like a bowling machine, He delivers the ball sweet and clean. Great games, he's had a few, 300 scores, yeah! He's had two. Last week we were excited to see what he would do. We all hoped for the best but no one knew. Strikes in the first, second and third, Opponents and team-mates spread the word. Strikes in the 4th, 5th and 6th. Not a sound was heard. Seven, eight and nine, the crowd hopefully endured. We held our breath as he came up in the last frame, Silently praying for a perfect game. It was not meant to be. Our condolences were so lame. He still belongs in the Sun Lakes Hall of Fame. He will soon be there again, We all know that he will win. His smooth delivery with a special spin, I would be happy to be his twin. Gloria Wesbey Peyser Gloria Wesbey was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 4, 1925. She entered her eternal life on October 22, 2013, short of her 89th birthday, at her home in Sun Lakes after a challenging battle with cancer. Gloria during her working years was an Executive Assistant at Allis Chalmers and then a Legal Secretary for the Grant Thornton Accounting firm. Her carefree youth found her beloved husband Harry Arnold Peyser and they married in 1949. This marriage came to an unfortunate ending after 51 years due to the early death of Harry Peyser in the year 2000. Gloria and Harry moved from Chicago to Sun Lakes Country Club in 1987. Over the past 25 years at Sun Lakes Country Club Gloria reflects on all the friendships that were formed and the sharing of times that made this community so special to her. Gloria enjoyed all the amenities Sun Lakes offered which included the weekly bridge club, Hand and Foot games, party putters, golfing, aqua aerobics, and her very last years with the Niners, the LEGS, Singles Golf events, and Zone Captain. Her beloved daughter Karen, and sons Kim and Ron, along with seven grand-children and two great-grand-children, her beloved brother, George Wesbey and loving companion BJ Moore survives Gloria. Gloria will be remembered by her family as "Honey" and truly missed by those of us who loved her. May Honey rest in peace. I would say that he was twice blessed, He is so humble you would have never guessed. Week after week his score meets the test, His average is always among the best. I am happy to know him as a friendly foe, Competing against him toe to toe. I only hope to stay close as I go, Rolling two or three strikes in a row. Bob is such a friendly guy, Even though he seems quite shy. Never complaining, he gives it a try, Knowing his total will be high. I hope to be there when he gets number three, That would be great for me to see, I would shout "Holy Gee!" No one deserves it more than he! "Atta Boy Bob!" We want to remember your loved ones in the "Friends We Will Miss" section, above, but we need your help. Please be sure to get us the information about their passing.
