social singles Our next dinner meeting is Fri., Dec. 13, at 6 pm in the South Clubhouse. Doors open at 5:30 pm. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! What better way to celebrate than dinner with wonderful friends. Come join us for our annual holiday party featuring our favorite group, the Radio Flyers. They will have you singing along, tapping your toes and dancing. Thomas Caterers will be serving their mouth watering tri-tip, potatoes au gratin, vegetable medley, green salad, ambrosia salad and white chocolate raspberry cheesecake for dessert. All this for $13 pp! Guests are $15. If you live in Sun Lakes, you may come as a guest one time only, and then you must join the club for $10. Guests living outside of Sun Lakes are welcome at $15 pp. We can only accommodate 99 people in the South Clubhouse for our dinner meetings, so your attendance will be on a first come first serve basis. Make checks payable to Social Singles and drop your checks to Betty McMillion, 5549 Pinehurst Dr., 769-6636. Those that want to sit together should put their checks in one envelope. If you have signed up for the dinner meeting and are unable to attend, PLEASE call Betty McMillion so she may give your reservation to someone on the wait list. You will receive your money back. Dec. 1: LET'S GO TO THE MOVIES: The Book Thief, depending where it is playing and also lunch. The story is about an orphan girl who is adopted by a kindly German couple; they also take in a Jewish refugee, which the family must hide. She steals books during World War II, and learns the power of words, both good and bad. Dec. 6: CHORALE ANNUAL HOLIDAY CONCERT in the Ballroom, 7 pm. $8. This is the performance that enchants us every holiday. There will be dinner in the dining room before the show at 5 pm. Call Barb by 12/3 for dinner reservations. Dec. 8: SCROOGE, $18 (or less). We will leave at noon. Lifehouse Theater, Redlands. Dickens' famous tale, "A Christmas Carol" comes to life… and, of course, Tiny Tim. We will have lunch at Famous Dave's. Dec. 19: THURS. CRAZY 8 DINNER, at 5:30 pm in the dining room, RSVP Patty Joeb, 769-7008 by 12/16. Dec. 28: SAT. LUNCHEON, starts at 11:30 am in the dining room, RSVP Doris Harrison, 769-3990 by 12/25. Dec. 29: PALM SPRINGS FOLLIES, Spectacular Holiday Show. $52 ($10 deposit). THIS IS THE LAST SEASON FOR THE FOLLIES. Susan Anton will be the guest performer.
