Senior Games Bocce Club We had 12 Four Seasons residents attend this year's Senior Games including 11 golfers. Pam Day and Sharon Collier won Bronze medals this year and Bob Morriss won a Silver medal this year. Helen Johnson won a Silver medal last year. Other Four Seasons golfers are David Weakley, Eddie Day, Kelly Collier, Tom and Helen Johnson, Susan and Ed Gaites and Linda Morriss. We hope to have more attendees from Four Seasons next October. The golf days are Oct. 14 and 15 of 2014. This year there were over 14,000 participants from all 50 States, 21 countries competing in 26 sports. As part of your registration, about $160 dollars, included are 15 free medical tests conducted by doctors from BYU and Dixie College. You also receive a number of coupons for many restaurants and events in the area. St. George is about an hour from Zion Park. It is a lot of fun. If you want any more information about next year, please contact Bob Morriss at (951) 325-8201. Bocce Club had a great season with a lot of cheering and shouting from the players as they won their games, not to mention our much liked pot lucks and great potato bake. We also had the opportunity to participate in a Car Show Fund Raiser which helped us raise $360 for much needed supplies and equipment. We are grateful for your donations and for those who planning and volunteered at the booth handing out soft drinks and water. We can't forget our players who helped Mike referee, and those who volunteered to be a ref 's helper. Members of the Bocce Committee did an outstanding job as usual collecting your activity fee, or making this year's schedule, not to mention our Drag-Goons who kept the bocce courts in great shape. Thank you to the club secretary who made sure your Team Captains had schedules and updates, and kept a record of all the Bocce Meetings. In addition, our Pot Lucks and Banquets would not be possible if it was not for our Banquet committee planner and all of her great ladies who made magic happen in our Ballroom. Awards Banquet Save the date! Although bocce games are over for this year, we still have one more celebration. Join us Sun., Jan. 19, for the Bocce Awards and Banquet Celebration scheduled for 5 pm in our Ballroom. This will include a great dinner prepared by Francisco and his crew. There will be cash prizes to the two top teams. Again, thank you to all… you made bocce a great club. Info., Ross Brunetto, 926-8295. Shuffleboard Another season is over, but we still have a Championship game on Dec. 5, at 12 pm. If you are part of a team that will be playing in the tournament, you will receive a notice on the last regular game. If you did not get the invitation, come out and watch and cheer for your neighbor and friends who will have to play good to make the Champion Team for 2013 and will be listed on the perpetual trophy located in the Multipurpose Room. To celebrate the winners, we will have a Luncheon on Thurs., Jan. 16, at 2 pm in the Ballroom. I would like to thank all of our players that helped to set up or sub for teams that needed a player and all our players who hung in there despite some of the interruptions. Good luck to those players who made the Tournament. Info., Ross Brunetto, 926-8295. Table Tennis If you are interested in participating, please contact Arie Groenendyk at (619) 889-6263 or email: ariegdutch@ yahoo.com. We meet in the Aerobics room on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3 to 5 pm. Come join the fun! | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2013 | 28
