These dances are in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom from 7 to 9 pm. We have line dance instructions Monday evenings in the South Clubhouse. At present, we are learning intermediate difficulty dances. Our shows at The Lakes' were Chinese performances plus a fashion show of Chinese apparel. From these, we booked two more shows in May and June. International Dancers Big Band Dance We kicked the year off with the great trio of Harold and Bettie Enns and Burt Garbell. Harold and Bettie always do wonderful solos such as Harold's "Without a Song" and Bettie singing a funny song that was new to all of us, "The False Prophet." Burt gives his powerful tone to "I've Got the World on a String." We wish to send many thanks to our fine chefs Barbara and Jerry Garber, two great fishermen. They not only caught the fish, they cleaned, filleted and then cooked it for us. March is a catered dinner at the Sandwedge, by reservation only. We meet the second Saturday of the month at 3 pm at the South Clubhouse. Info., Barb, 845-7904 or Carol, 769-7382. 80s Plus Club Greetings from your library volunteer staff. We hope that you have taken the "ten minute challenge" described in last month's Lifestyles and that you've come away with a new perspective of our libraries. The new challenge for this month is for each of you to visit all of our libraries. Please take the time to drop in and visit all three libraries during the next few weeks. You will not be disappointed. All are encouraged to contribute any extra book(s) that you might have to one of our wonderful libraries. Should you wish to donate a large number of books or have trouble getting around, please call Peggy Inman at 845-8609 or Russ Anderson at 845-9414 to have them picked up. Books being donated should be published in the year 2004 or later due to limited space on the shelves. Thank you to our library volunteers! If you like to join our group, please contact Jill Falat at 797-3263. Thanks for being a volunteer. At Sun Lakes, we are fortunate to have three libraries with one located in each of our three clubhouses. We ask each of you, when returning books, to return them back to the same library from which they were borrowed. So, whether you visited the North Clubhouse, the South Clubhouse or the Main Clubhouse to borrow your book, please return to the appropriate library. We've noticed some of you are getting excited as the word gets out. What's the word, you say? The word is that our next book sale will be Sat., April 12, in the Main Clubhouse library. Start saving your money now so that you can buy books until your heart is content. There will be lots of exciting adventures awaiting each and every one of you. All you have to do is show up, buy some books, settle into one of the soft leather chairs and open the book's cover to begin your special adventure. Happy reading and we hope to see you at the libraries located in all three clubhouses throughout Sun Lakes Library Committee Safety & Security Committee Master Architectural Committee The Income Tax offIce Ollie Kloehn, CRTP Sun Lakes Resident 22 Years Experience ,Qĥ+RPH$SSRLQWPHQW$YDLODEOH Cell 714-624-7467 2ɸFHĦĦ)D[ĦĦ :5$06(<6767('%$11,1* When should I call 9-1-1? 9-1-1 is ONLY to be used in emergency situations. An emergency is any situation that requires immediate assistance from the police/sheriff, the fire department or an ambulance. If you are ever in doubt of whether a situation is an emergency you should call 9-1-1. It's better to be safe and let the 9-1-1 call taker determine if you need emergency assistance. Examples of an emergency: difficulty breathing, chest or upper abdominal pain or pressure, fainting or loss of consciousness, unresponsiveness, seizures or convulsions, suspicious activity or burglary. ~ Submitted by Robin Santillan, Property Services Manager. Any questions regarding the above requirements please CALL We all moved to Sun Lakes for any/all of the following reasons… Great community, lots of terrific people, splendid facilities and, of particular note, consistency and integrity of the community. Part of the credit goes to the volunteer MAC (Master Architectural Committee). Since Sun Lakes is now built out, what is left for our current and future homeowners is the necessity to maintain their property to the high standards of our community. New in 2014, is the meeting schedule that will now be the 2nd and fourth Tuesday of the month (formerly every Tuesday). The work has been streamlined. There is currently an expansive list of approved paint colors and a simple and efficient process to follow. We also entertain and discuss what could be beneficial to the community. In short, it really is a dream job. Applications are still being accepted for an open seat on this fulfilling committee. Please contact the Administration Office for more information. Thank you for your desire to participate for your community.
