Yucaipa Wellness Center has been serving Yucaipa since 1998 and offers a synergistic blend for mind, body and spirit in a toxin free, holistic environment. Samantha Short bought the business a year and a half ago and has recently renovated the inside of the center reflecting a calm, relaxed atmosphere. Samantha is a medical massage therapist and State certified massage therapist. She has been practicing massage therapy for 6 years. Samantha can provide you with the following kinds of services: Swedish American, Acupressure, Trigger Point Therapy, Hot Stone Therapy, Cranial Sacral, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Myofacial, Asian/Eastern Massage, Energy Work, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Body Treatments & Wraps and Pregnancy Massage. Her staff includes Krystal, who is a California State Certified Massage Therapist and specializes in Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy and Swedish massage; Michelle, California State Certified Massage Therapist who specializes in therapeutic massage which includes deep tissue, acupressure and energy work; Alexa, Massage Therapist who specializes in sports massage and deep tissue; and Denise, who is the office manager. (Above far left) The ribbon cutting for Cross Fire Fitness celebrated the opening of the new gym located at the Market Place at 5th Street. Although the boot camp has been open for a year, owner Bryan Sullivan, expanded to the space on the opposite side to include a full gym with brand new equipment, men and women's locker room with showers and a spin cycle room. The City of Yucaipa held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly opened El Dorado Ranch Park on Oak Glen Road in January 30. Speakers included Matt Knox, District Director to Congressman Paul Cook; County Supervisor James Ramos; David Meyers with The Wildlands Conservancy and Mayor Denise Hoyt. A monument etched with the likenesses of Frank Sissons and Councilman Dick Riddell (photo below) was unveiled at the trail head as a dedication to them for being instrumental in getting the land for the park donated to the City. The land was donated by The Wildlands Conservancy. A plaque on the restroom building was also unveiled dedicated to the City Council. Upcoming Free Seminars on Growing Your Business and Working in Yucaipa The first Small/Home Based Business Growth & Development (SHBBGD) breakfast of 2014 was at Jeff Dewan's Edward Jones office. Cheryl Benton, Vice-Chair of the SHBBGD committee, introduced Jeff who spoke about his business and how to start marketing your business from the ground up. Cheryl then introduced Cindy Carpenter who spoke to the group on how to market your business using social media. Another speaker, Mila Diamond, spoke about how to use LinkedIn to market yourself and your business. The mini-workshop was so well-received that Cindy will be presenting a free seminar on Thurs., March 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on "How to Grow Your Business and Create Valuable Relationships." The seminar will be held at the Yucaipa Community Center located at 34900 Oak Glen Road. The next Small/Home Based Business Growth & Development breakfast will be hosted by Chamber Chairman Jim Hammond at his Comfort Keepers office on Thurs., March 6, located at 34675 Yucaipa Blvd. #105 beginning at 8 am.
