This is a presentation you won't want to miss. EmErgEncy PrEParEdnEss committEE (EPc) EstablishEs goals and objEctivEs The Emergency Preparedness Committee (EPC) has approved their goals and objectives for the coming year. Recruitment of team members to assist residents of Four Seasons in the event of a disaster is their number one objective. The Committee selected four emergency preparedness slogans that will be used on Emergency Preparedness Program (EPP) recruitment posters. A small emergency preparedness EXPO at the New Residents' Meet and Greet is being planned to ensure our new residents are aware of the program and to recruit new members. If you need more information about our teams or want to become a member of a team please contact Jean at the e-mail address listed below. Equipment and supplies have been donated to EPC from PassCom Emergency Planning Committee, American Medical Response and residents in Four Seasons. A detailed record of the equipment and supplies is being prepared as everything is currently stored in the committee members' garages. Response Team Education and Training will continue throughout the year. The continued education and training of the team leaders is in preparation for a Table Top Disaster Drill that will occur in the fall. EPC has been training and planning for the drill for over a year and are anxiously waiting to determine if the EPC Emergency Action Plan and the ten Team Action Plans will work in the most effective manner during a disaster. You, the resident of Four Seasons, play a very important role in the success of the emergency plan. The Emergency Preparedness Committee has established procedures to provide general assistance to the residents of Four Seasons in the event of a disaster. However, this assistance relies on a small group of volunteers, the EPP response teams, who will not be available to respond to your immediate personal needs. You need to be prepared to handle the consequences of any disaster without immediate outside assistance. Refer to your EPP Residents' Emergency Hand Book to help you prepare for an emergency and to become part of Four Seasons Emergency Preparedness Plan. ~ Jean Sandoval continued on following page
