Pickleball Pickleball is alive and well at Four Seasons! On any given Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday morning, beginning at 7:30 am, you can find a group at the pickleball courts. Pickleball is played on a scaled down size tennis court, with a small racket and a hard wiffle- like ball. We play doubles and switch partners after every game. The hardest part is keeping score! We are open to all players, all skill levels and we have extra rackets and balls, so come on out, we'll teach you how to play. We also like to get together socially. For more information, please contact Maggie Aguirre at (951) 325-8116 or Leonard Gleason at (714) 318-4591. Come on out and join the fun. 31 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | September 2014 | Tennis Friends OLDlympics is coming up at Valley Wide! By the time you read this, the Oldlympics will be in full swing. For tennis, the matches will be Oct. 4 and 5 at Valley Wide Recreation, on Esplanade. If you have not signed up yet, talk to our tennis players, or call Valley Wide Parks and Rec for a list of all sports and games in which to participate. The next big event after that is the Four Seasons Tennis Tournament on Oct. 18 and 19. Judy Bailey is the contact person for this home grown event which includes a potluck barbecue on the afternoon of the 19th, to celebrate the winners and eat the good cooking of our participants. Here is the plan for the matches: "Each player stands alone in obtaining averages for the tournament. Every player will partner with all players in his or her skill level. A player earns one point for every game won during a match. The total number of points earned in all matches is then divided by the number of matches played, to obtain an average. The three highest averages in each skill level are the tournament winners." In the meantime, check out the events we have here at Four Seasons: Drills: Wednesdays, 6:59 pm with mixed doubles afterwards at 8 pm. Men's, Ladies, and Mixed play most mornings… Just contact Chuck Sims, Judy Bailey, Trish Egan or Tracy Trousset for more information; our numbers are in our HOA directory. So, racquet up! Table Tennis If you are interested in participating, please contact Arie Groenendyk at (619) 889-6263 or email: ariegdutch@yahoo.com. We meet in the Aerobics room on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3 to 5 pm. Come join the fun! Anita Reed Welcome New Tennis Friends! Ellyn Wolfe
