7 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | September 2014 | By Louise Ceccarelli I want to send out a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the Recycle/Reuse Day. It was a HUGE success. Angel View picked up a full truckload of reusable items for their store: 66 bags, 61 boxes, easy chairs and recliner, two desks, one entertainment center, a TV and stand, a box spring and mattress, ottomans, a wine refrigerator, one wheelchair, an iron, a briefcase, luggage, patio umbrellas, area rugs, lamps, exercise equipment, bicycle, bar stools, pet carrier, lamps, other household appliances… and more. They also had to make additional pickups on three separate days at homes in the community for items that were too big to bring down. I also want to thank the ladies who helped at the Angel View Collection booth: Millie Galles and her sister Pat, Scottie Singer, Diane Haunschild, Sharon Weissman, and Meleny Piotrowski — thank you very much! The Green Guys were very impressed with the e-waste and recyclables that they collected: 1,820 lbs. of TVs and Monitors, 1,628 lbs. of miscellaneous e-waste, 1,050 lbs of metal, and many more items totaling over 6,600 pounds of materials for recycling. All monies collected from e-waste will be given to Angel View charity as well. I and my committee volunteers are so excited about the upcoming Car Show & Street Fair on Oct. 25 right here in our parking lot. If you have a car that you want to show, please pick up a entry form at the Lodge front desk. Along with the cars and arts and crafts, we are planning on lots of extras that you will really enjoy.
