40 | sun lakes lIfestyles | sePteMBeR 2014 | fRIends we wIll MIss Dottie Brown passed on July 21, 2014. She grew up in Minnesota, and met her husband Gordon during college. They had four boys together, Steve (Debbie), Craig, Mark (Judy), and Todd. Dottie raised the boys, and worked in a Credit Union in Orange County California, until making Sun Lakes her home in 1987. She was part of the original founders club for Sun Lakes. She and Gordon loved to play golf, both getting their only "hole in 1" on # 17 about 10 years apart. Dottie said in the end that she was lucky to have had such a wonderful life with so many good friends and family. Thanks to everyone for cards and support to this truly lovely lady. She will be missed. Jack White Born in New York, 3/9/31, passed away on 7/25/14. He holds the honor of being the World Champion Billiard and Trick Shot Artist. He started playing at the ripe old age of eight. His father and grandfather were professional also, so pool was born in him. He got his professional status on The Ed Sullivan Show. From there he performed for many charities as well as entertaining our troops, wherever they were stationed. He was discharged from the Army in 1961 as a corporal. He performed for kings, the Queen of England and Presidents Ronald Regan and L.B. Johnson. He loved his life of playing billiards and performing all over the world. God bless him.
