Here come the holidays! Everyone looks forward to celebrating the many happy occasions this time of year. We don't look forward to those few extra pounds that come with them. A few easy tips… Have a few small bites of food before you go to a party; you will eat less of those rich goodies offered. Go easy on the alcohol. It has lots of calories that turn into carbohydrates and settle on unwanted places. Get some exercise every day if you are able. Try attending one of the dance classes offered here at Four Seasons. You will be with other people having fun and moving around. Dancing is such a good exercise. Not only are you moving, but you are concentrating and trying to get your feet to do what your mind is thinking. This often results in despair (I cannot do this), frustration (why can't I get this one part?) and, then triumph (I finally did it!). Then the laughter and hugs just bubble over. If you are looking for exercise and fun, come join us. The beginning class starts at 3 pm, the advanced class begins at 3:45 pm and is always working on a new dance. We also take the time to dance to old favorites. We try to teach the line dances you will be hearing at different social events here in the community. Join us, and by New Years Eve, you will be out on the dance floor. There will be no class Nov. 27. LINE DANCE ETIQUETTE TIP: Keep your head up, smile and enjoy – it's very interesting to watch a line dancer execute the moves to a dance while looking down at the dance floor? There is really nothing on the floor to see (except feet)! We have one more month before we say goodbye to 2014. Start thinking about your resolutions for 2015, and consider joining one of Four Seasons dance classes. Your mind, body, and soul will benefit. Class schedule – We meet every Wednesday (Except for 3rd Wednesday) in the Ballroom Beginners 4 – 5:15 pm Intermediate 5:20 – 6 pm Remember: No previous experience or partner needed. Wear comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes.
