During our monthly 8 Ball Tournament, Maryann Diehl lost one game to Rick Loney in the early rounds but beat Dewey Allen, Kenny Payne and Ray Windhorn on her way to the finals. Rick lost one game to Dewey and then went on to the finals against Maryann, both with one loss. Rick won the hard fought championship game to take first place and Maryann took second place after reaching her first finals match. Maryann has become a force to be reckoned with on our team. , Del refers to her as our Secret Weapon. Congratulations to Rick and to Maryann on their great play during the 8 Ball Tournament. Meanwhile, our 9 Ball Tournament was a battle royal with Dewey Allen racing to the finals undefeated. Our Captain, Del Lyles, suffered a single loss but fought his way to the finals to face Dewey. Dewey played a good game and won against Del to take this month's honors for 9 Ball Tournament Champion. Plans for our end of year team party are underway and in all likelihood will be at the Maze Store Restaurant for Sunday Brunch on Dec. 7. Team Members: check for the sign up sheet on the bulletin board in the Billiards Room. Team practice is on the first and third Monday, every Wednesday and every Friday at 7 pm. Monthly 8 Ball Club meetings are on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm. The in-house 8 Ball tournament is on the second Wednesday at 7 pm. In-house 9 Ball Tournament is now on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm. Our traveling tournaments are the second and fourth Monday of the month. The second Monday we travel to Hemet Solera and the fourth Monday Solera Hemet comes here. Check the message board in the Billiards Room for any changes of dates or locations.
