Pickleball Pickleball is alive and well at Four Seasons! On any given Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday morning, beginning at 7:30 am, you can find a group at the pickleball courts. Pickleball is played on a scaled down size tennis court, with a small racket and a hard wiffle-like ball. We play doubles and switch partners after every game. The hardest part is keeping score! We are open to all players, all skill levels and we have extra rackets and balls, so come on out, we'll teach you how to play. We also like to get together socially. For more information, please contact Maggie Aguirre at (951) 325-8116 or Leonard Gleason at (714) 318-4591. Come on out and join the fun. 31 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2014 | Tennis Friends The weekend of Oct. 18 - 19 featured "Championship" tennis, Tennis Friends' awards, coupled with a potluck barbecue that was the highlight of the weekend. This annual event came closely on the heels of the Oldlympics. Furthermore, the matches were played on the newly resurfaced courts. Each year the William Koretke Spirit Award is given to a member of the Tennis Friends that supported and promoted tennis participation. Trish Egan is an accomplished tennis, racquetball, and pickle ball player. She has encouraged players and promoted participation over several years of her tenure here at Four Seasons. Therefore the William Koretke Spirit award was presented to her in the presence of Bernie Koretke. Congratulations Trish ! Her duties include choosing candidates for next years award. Meanwhile the tennis results created match winners in two seeded groups. Group One winners were: First Place, Lisa Doktorczyk (highest scoring average of all competitors); Second Place, Ray Latta and Trish Egan (tie); Third Place, George Togo. Group Two winners were: First Place, Rob Robinson, Earle Irvine, and John Tarabochia (tie); Second Place, Chuck Sims; Third Place, Jackie Latta. But, the real winners were the participants. These test matches allowed players to test their skill in a competitive environment. Thank you Judy Baily and George Doktorczyk for organizing this fun tournament. Congratulations to all! Table Tennis If you are interested in participating, please contact Arie Groenendyk at (619) 889-6263 or email: ariegdutch@yahoo.com.
