Upcoming Events 7 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2014 | By Louise Ceccarelli The holidays are officially here. Mark your calendars so you don't miss a thing: Dec. 2 – Decorate for Chanukah Dec. 4 – Redo on the "Hotel California" concert on the plaza Dec. 10 – The last board meeting for 2014 Dec. 13 – Holiday Home Tour Dec. 14 – Grandparents Picture Day with Santa & Mrs. Claus, Golf Cart Parade, Vintage Voices Concert Dec. 17 – Deliver treats to Marines at 29 Palms Dec. 20 – NJ/NY ChanuMas Party in the Ballroom Dec. 24 – Christmas Eve; Lodge closes at noon Dec. 25 – LODGE CLOSED Dec. 31 – New Year's Eve Party In years past I have heard complaints that New Year's Eve is too expensive; that you can get a dinner cheaper elsewhere; that you don't want to stay up late… Well here are some facts and figures to consider when making your New Year's Eve plans for this year. 1. This year's party will give you the option to celebrate the new year at 9 pm (EST midnight) or at Midnight (PST) so you don't miss out on "Ringing in the New Year" 2. There will be more entertainment than just dancing…. 3. The cost is reasonable compared to going out. • If you go out, there is usually no entertainment, and you have to pay extra for appetizers, drinks and dessert; but that is ALL included in your ticket (except alcohol which you can bring your own) • If you go to a winery the cost will be between $90- 145 pp, and that usually only includes one glass of wine or champagne. Maybe only appetizers, maybe entertainment… • Now you have to think about transportation and drinking and driving — well, don't do it! Here you don't have the problem — you can even drive your golf cart. • If you don't like crowds of strangers — going out is not for you. Here you are amongst friends and neighbors. Now, doesn't New Years Eve at the Lodge sound better all the time? See you around the Lodge, and Happy Holidays!
