Many countries and cultures also follow this practice and encourage their populace to both make and keep their new year resolutions or promises. One such resolution or promise is practiced in the country of Romania. The Romanians promise that the first positive thing that they do in the New Year will follow them throughout the entire year. Their resolution is to read more, especially books, to make everyone better off. Let's not let the Romanians beat us in 2015. Stand up and make your 2015 pledge to read more books. Each one of us should make a new year's resolution to read more books than you did in 2014. We all will be better off in doing so. We would like to keep the high quality of service you have come to expect in your libraries. In order to do this, we need to recruit some additional new members for the 2015-2016 calendar years. If you would like to join us, please complete the Sun Lakes Volunteer Interest Form. Blank forms can be obtained at the Reception Desk located inside the entrance to the Main Clubhouse. Please join us and help keep the libraries a great place to find your favorite book. In addition, the libraries also need new library volunteers. The volunteers are a group of Sun Lakers who donate their time to keep our three libraries ready for you. If you would like to be a part of this volunteer group, please contact Jill Falat at 797-3263 and say "How can I become a volunteer?" If you have any extra books that you would like to donate to the library, please drop them off at one of the wooden collection boxes located in each of the libraries. If you have any questions, contact Russ Anderson at 845-9414. Due to limited shelf space, books being donated should be published in the year 2005 or later. As we close out the year, we all need to take a moment to reflect on how lucky we are to have three quality libraries, one located in each of your clubhouses. Hope to see you browsing the book shelves throughout the New Year! Library Committee
