Thank so many of you for attending the holiday show last month. The line dancing group was excited to be able to perform for you and your families. Many of the dancers have been dancing less than a year. They really worked hard to learn a complicated dance. I am really proud of them and I hope you enjoyed the performance. Here we are again, the start of a new year and maybe a couple of pounds heavier and feeling sluggish after all the holiday parties. Don't despair! Get moving! Take a walk at least three times a week for 30 minutes, park the car a little farther out from the store, and consider dancing. If you are looking for exercise and fun, join us. Line dancing is not very stressful on the joints and most dances can be adapted for knee and/or hip problems. Recently there have been seven to nine brand new dancers and I have started having a very beginning dance class from 2:30 to 3 pm. I will continue this through the end of January. It is for people with no experience at all. I teach the basic steps and you learn two or three dances. The regular beginning class is from 3 to 3:45 pm, and the advanced class from 3:45 to 4:30 pm. The advance class is for experienced dancers only, as I do not take much time on demonstrating the steps. This group is usually working on a new dance. Please remember to be on time and to bring water with you… you will be glad you did. I teach the classes for free, but ask for a $1 donation which goes to the Performing Arts Club. This year, donations so far have been $766, (one more class to go). For the past three years the donations have been over $2,000. Come dance, it is exercise and helps the Performing Arts Club. ~ Martha Franck 32 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2015 | CLUBS & GROUPS Happy New Year to all my dancers, past and present. I hope that 2015 brings each you good health. May you get the opportunity to explore and experience new things that will keep you happy and relaxed. I look forward to another year of bringing fun dances. See you on the dance floor. Class hours are Wednesdays from 4 to 5:25 pm for beginners and 5:30 to 6 pm for intermediate. ~ Priscilla Robles Heart & Soul Line Dance Line Dancing Line dancers at the Christmas show Our Christmas Dinner Dance sold out while there were still folks wanting to attend. We limit the seating so you have space to move around the tables and the dance floor doesn't get too crowded. These are excellent events, and since we sell out we're giving you notice of our next fantastic soiree, our Valentine's Day Dinner Dance, on Valentine's Day, Saturday, Feb. 14 at 5:30 pm. Take a night out and go on a date. Invite your spouse, friend, cousins, aunts and uncles, and enjoy a complete dinner, great fun and lots of dancing. Information for this event will be posted in the Lodge, and tickets will go on sale early this month. Contacts: Puring and Gary Stifter at (951) 922-8333, or at purings@verizon.net. ~ Willis Fagan Ballroom Dance Club The Skyline Xpress band will be performing at our Valentine's Dinner Dance. These guys and a gal are really good, perform a wide variety of music, are in great demand, and they love to perform for us at Four Seasons.
