Sweepers Creepers (Marlene Gartman, Gail Stormes, Larry Stormes, and Andy Toro) are running away with first place with a lead of 12 and one half games. Second place has been taken over by the Ravens (Maureen Condon, Burt Garbell, Joe Griffin, and Bob Mejia). The One Ballers (Lisa Koerbel, Bill McDonald, Hal Taylor, and Bob Naus) moved up to third place. Season high scores are as follows. For the men Andy Toro has high Scratch Series with a 765, Harry Taylor has High Scratch Game with a 289, Dan Comerfort has taken over High Handicap Series with 804 and Bob Naus has taken over High Handicap Game with 298. For the women, Gail Stormes has High Scratch Series with 550, Bonnie Green has High Scratch Game with 222, Teri Comerford has High Handicap Series with 731, and Barbara Semic has high Handicap Game with 267. We have just passed the halfway point of our 33-week season so there is still plenty of time to move up in the standings. Take advantage of all the free bowling at Canyon Lanes. As the year 2014 came to a close, we can look back to one of the most exciting bowling seasons ever! First, Bob Greb tore up the lanes the first month of the season with a 299 scratch game! Not to be outdone, George Thiel, on the day before Thanksgiving, scored a 300 - perfect game! "Atta Boy" to both of them. Top scratch series were George Thiel 839, Bob Greb 728 and Bob McLean 665. Karen Struchen was the top womens scorer with a 222 scratch game and a 528 scratch series. Yvonne Wood had a 519 series and Dianne Everley 513 was close behind. Bridgette Greb 212, Micki Elsing 204 and Ginger Chavez 203 had high scratch games. Team 3 (Ginger Hines, Dolores Arterberry, Betsy Zalewski and Don Hines) was in 1st place after 15 weeks with 40 1/2 games won. They named themselves #TAG.COM? Closely behind with 35 1/2 wins is team 9 "We Shall Overcome" (Pat Sedlacek, Ed Sterger, Sandy Hepburn and George Thiel). In 3rd place are "The Old and the Restless" (Darrell Sandlian, Bob McEwen, Gail Daniello and Jeff Burris ) with 35 wins. Sun Lakers high averages for women are: Bridgette Greb 158, Dianne Everley 154 and Micki Elsing 154. Men's high averages are George Thiel 212, Bob Greb 202 and Bob McLean 200.
