A student's perspective and the current Artist of
the month:
"I thoroughly enjoy my experience in Rob's drawing
class. While I regularly attend his Monday morning
classes, I try to go to his Wednesday evening classes,
too. Of course I attend for the drawing experience but
the other students there make for a great social event
as well.
"I have always enjoyed art and took a lot of art
classes in Jr. and Sr. high school. After graduating,
I took a display design course, which led to a career
freelancing doing displays for ladies specialty and
children stores. I then worked for a major department
store for several years. After retiring, I began making
a variety of crafts for several stores and more recently I
have participated at the craft fair at the Four Seasons.
"The experience I have had in art has been great for
my occupation but not necessarily for freehand drawing.
Believe me, I have learned a lot from Rob Kelman (our
instructor). I think Rob Kelman is a talented and very
experienced teacher. I recommend that you come join
