COMMUNITY NEWS | FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2015 17
The New Year's Eve gala is over and if the comments I have
been hearing are any indications most everyone had a great
time. If there were any complaints no one has said them to
me or to the committee. The decorations were elegant and
certainly fit the 1920's theme. Nelly Alcocer did an outstanding
job creating the pictures, frames, and Art Deco artwork, all with
the help of a computer, construction paper and scissors. Cindy
Graves and Renee Watkins from the Lodge staff were also a lot
of help. Of course the committee outdid themselves.
Anne Taylor and her young and happy staff did a great
job serving and clearing the tables and presenting us with a
delicious dinner.
Tony, our favorite DJ, did his usual good job keeping the
dance floor full and moving it was hard to find an empty spot to
dance and his games kept us laughing. He also took over all the
emcee chores which left the committee free to enjoy themselves
too.
As you can imagine keeping 175 people happy is quite a job
but overall I think we have a pretty good average. Hard as we
try we can never make everyone happy, but year after year we
will keep trying.
Putting on a party of this size is a big job and a lot of work,
however those of us on the committee really enjoy it or we would
not be doing it. It takes months of planning and budgeting to
get it right and give you, our residents a lot for your money.
Your pleasure is ours.
So we hope you did in fact enjoy the party and that you look
forward to the next one. ~ Melody Seewoster

Welcome to all our new neighbors! Just a reminder to submit
your plans for yard work (back and front) to the committee
before work is started.
Remember the committee must approve placement of a
satellite dish before you install the dish.
Anyone who is interested in seeing our committee at work is
welcome to come and observe one of our meetings. We meet on
the first and third Wednesday of the month at 9:30 in the Board
Room of the Lodge. ~ Marsha Gormley
