How did you start playing paddle tennis? Everyone's story
is different but similar, like Richard Carrasco who started
playing paddle tennis a few years ago, he said, "I was playing
tennis and I noticed some people playing paddle tennis on the
court adjacent to the tennis courts, I went to their courts and I
decided to give it a try. Someone loaned me a paddle and the
rest is history. I continue to play today because the people are
really nice."
Garrett Warman said he was asked by his neighbor, Michael
Rothberg, so he came borrowed a paddle and obviously stayed,
showing his natural talent for the game.
Dan Anguiano, said he was invited, like most of us, and
stayed for the play and the people.
Then, as Raul Bautista, said, "Mike Flower invited me to play
and even though my story is very sad, he said jokingly, I played
with a borrowed paddle for about six months then decided to
buy a paddle of my own. I have been here ever since, about
three years now."
Paco Paez said while playing ping pong he was told about the
game of paddle tennis, so he joined in and has hardly missed
an opportunity to play since. He's been playing for about four
years now, and is one of our many better players.
I know each and all of us have our own story about how
we started playing this active and fun game of paddle tennis,
I didn't get a chance to ask all of you why and how your play
started. Hopefully we'll hear your story in the near future. But
for now, we are all just happy we have such a great fun group
of players. Want to be a part of it? Come play anytime. You'll
enjoy the play and the company. Times of play are Monday,
Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, 8:30 to 10:30 am and again
from 2 to 4 pm, weather permitting.
