Please call or email Doc or Letha Sellars with any questions at (951) 797-3302; docletha72@gmail.com. ~ Doc Sellars Life Guide Bible Study We meet the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Craft Room at the Lodge; our March meeting will be March 17. Visitors are always welcome. We invite all photographers, regardless of skill level, to join us for our regular meetings and field trips. Members are always eager to help and teach. We discuss photography, photo software, hardware, and related subjects of interest. On a voluntary basis, members offer their photographs for critique, which is a great learning experience for all. Our alternative photo project is ongoing (i.e. we bring a picture of a specific genre we all agree on). For the February meeting, the assignment was to bring a photograph of a child… just being a child. As always, this is an optional assignment. The members do not have to comply but if they do, it is a great learning experience for all. As you can imagine, "a child just being a child" was interpreted differently by various photographers. Many outstanding photographs were presented, some "studio" posed, and some candid. Professional photographer Felix A. Marquez was our guest speaker at the January meeting. Wow, what a speaker! He covered numerous topics including challenging ourselves as photographers and how to do it), how to take our photographs to the next level (i.e. making a "good" photograph a "great" photograph) and other numerous topics. Needless to say, he received an open invitation to visit us again. ~ Lyle Cameron Camera Club A photo of the waterfront of Copenhagen, Denmark, taken by Bill Christelman of our camera club while he was on vacation last July.
