FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2015 49 To begin this month's article, allow me a reflection on 2014. Our 8-Ball in-house tournament Champion for the Year 2014 was Ray Windhorn. Ray and Rick Loney actually were tied in total wins which required a playoff match which Ray was victorious in. Congratulations to both Rick and Ray for great play in 2014! It will come as no surprise that Dewey Allen took the most 9-Ball in-house tournaments in 2014 since Dewey remains our premier player. Many, many years of experience does help and Dewey deserves our congratulations. In-house tournaments, both 8-Ball and 9-Ball are great fun to participate in and to watch as our club members pit themselves against each other one-on-one each month. This month Rick Loney took 8 Ball honors defeating Kenny Payne in the finals and remaining undefeated during the entire tournament. Kenny Payne once again this month was a star during the 9-Ball in-house tournament. Kenny went into the finals undefeated where he was matched with Ray Windhorn who only suffered a single loss during regulation play. Ray won the first semi-final but during the second game fouled and gave up Que- ball-in-hand to Kenny who then played a great combination shot, pocketing the 9 ball to win the tournament. Our team practices together at 7 pm on the first and third Mondays, every Wednesday and every Friday. Monthly 8-Ball Club Meetings are on the first Wednesday of the month at 7 pm. The In-house 8 Ball tournament is on the second Wednesday at 7 pm. In-house 9-Ball tournament is on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm. Our traveling tournaments are the second and fourth Mondays of the month. The second Monday, we travel to Hemet Solera and the fourth Monday Solera Hemet comes here. Check the 8-Ball Club message board in the Billiards Room for any changes of dates or locations.
