| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2015 | 22 The Red Hot Seasons meet the fourth Monday of each Month at 2 pm in the Lodge Ballroom. New members are always welcome! Come join us and see what we are all about. There's only one rule – No rules! Our next meeting will be Mon., April 23. In March we enjoyed a fabulous Victorian Irish Tea at "Nana's Elegant Afternoon Tea Parties" here in Hemet. Everyone had a wonderful time and we want to extend a big thank you to Pat Hall for coordinating this fabulous event. Join us in April for a fun day trip to Pala Casino for their 60 plus luncheon buffet and free afternoon show. You can enjoy a wonderful buffet at a 30 percent discount, free entertainment and of course get in a little gambling. If you missed the March meeting and didn't get all the information but would still like to join us please give Ann Oxley a call at 926-0630. On May 19 we plan to go to Journey's Restaurant at Pechanga Casino for lunch. Diana Williams will be coordinating this trip. We will have sign ups at our April monthly meeting and additional information will provided at that time. We have a number of exciting and fun events planned this year. Keep watching the Hemet Herald for more information or come to our meetings and join the fun! Red Hot Seasons Guitar Club We are open to any interested resident who wishes to play the guitar. Just by learning a few chords you'll be able to play a number of songs! The first Friday of each month we will focus on having some dedicated time for "Improving the Guitar." Jerry Hawkins, our bass player, will be providing some useful instruction: "Knowing your guitar" and strumming techniques. Bob Hagen, our Guitar Club leader, helps us with chord shortcuts, how to add some interest to strumming patterns and is looking forward to teaching "Slack Key." The third Friday will be focused on "improving your performance." We also manage to fit in a few songs and have a good time sharing and playing guitar. Guitar Club members are Russ Brown, Hank Callaghan, Hal Clark, Lois Cowan, Gerry Edmonds, Cynthia Ellingworth, Orville Ellingworth, Bob Hagen, Jerry Hawkins, Sandy Iannotti, Mike Murphy, Linda Negrete, Bud Piraino, and Bob Vargo.
