| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2015 | 6 The Annual Membership Meeting is April 22! The Annual Meeting will be held to elect three Directors this year. As in years past, there are two meeting times; 11 am and 1 pm. The 11 am meeting time will allow the Inspector of Election and representatives to open the meeting, establish a quorum call for nominations from the floor and close the polls. The meeting will then be adjourned to allow the Nominations Committee volunteers time to open 700 plus envelopes, then count and tabulate the votes. You are welcome to come early, but we are letting you know the difference between the two times in case you have other commitments. The Annual Meeting will re-convene at 1 pm. If you received a ballot but haven't returned it, please drop it off at the Lodge by 10 am so it can be included in the count. We appreciate everyone's participation in this important event. The topic below was included in a past article and I thought it is worth repeating. "Did You Hear? "When you hear this from one of your fellow residents, what comes to mind? Is it bad news, good news or maybe some neighborhood gossip? Hopefully it's good news. But most of the time the next thing spoken is a rumor that, when uttered, gets embellished with speculation, making the rumor seem more truthful, which in reality is not. "On the serious side, I want to talk about casual conversations that involve gossip. What is most harmful is the kind of talk where one neighbor hears about another who observed yet another neighbor allegedly violating a rule. For reasons unknown, and instead of reporting the problem directly to the management staff, the rumor is now circulated around the block. When this occurs, facts are skewed and we are unable to help correct the problem. Please, if you witness a violation, come to the office and fill out a violation form so management and the board has it in writing" As most of you know, the management office treats all violations as confidential matters and the two reporting parties (required for all but common area violations) are the only ones who should be involved. (I've also touched on this subject in past articles.) When the reporting party tells the neighbors, this breaches the confidentiality of the matter. It also doesn't make the neighborhood atmosphere any better. So, please report any violations directly to the management office. I would like to wish everyone a peaceful and Happy Easter on April 5. May you enjoy the blessing of this special day with family and friends! A Message From Your General Manager By Rick Ruth, CCAM
