11 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | April 2015 | Crumbs from Cookie: The February program with Tracy of doTERRA Oils was so well received that she was here until 5 pm scanning our hands. The scanner was absolutely right on with me. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Before our program with Tracy we had a bitter sweet farewell to our mascot, "Sunshine" our standard black poodle. Char Weakley has been training her for the Guide Dogs of the Desert. We are so happy that she is going to further her training but we really miss her already. I do think Char had a heavy heart. Dave Habig took this picture (inset) of our girl, Sunshine. We don't want to forget that the same day her brother, Barney, also left for training at the Guide Dogs Center. Dee Reno has been working with him and, though they looked the same when they came to Four Seasons, Barney was a gray haired handsome boy when he left. And, BIG! When Sunshine graduates, our team will be there to watch. Thank you Char and Dee. March found us with Mary Hrinko speaking on the Family Caregiver Support Program. We have many experts and doctors speaking about illness but what do we do if we are the caretaker of the person that's ill? If we don't know how to take care of ourselves, we will soon be ill. We so hope you were able to come and that you found the program helpful. If you don't receive the Four Seasons blasts, I want to let you know that Linda Caricato is starting a new grief support group. Beginning April 14 through June 2 from 10 to 11:30 am here at Four Seasons. It is provided free of charge. Please call Linda (951) 766-9629 ext. 3087 to register. Your loss doesn't need to be recent to need support! Our yearly Health Fair is right around the corner. It's each year in May. I'm hoping for new talent and information to help us take care of ourselves better. Hope you join us. As long as we have a good turnout, we'll repeat it yearly. There have been many changes going on, some volunteers leaving and many joining looking for ways to help. I am very excited about finally having a Sunshine Historian on our team! We welcome newcomer Dave Habig who knows his way around a camera. I wish he had been here four years ago to keep track of our programs and the growth of the Sunshine Team. Thanks for volunteering Dave! We send our love and sympathies to the Hegg family. They lost their beloved father, Don Hegg, in February. Don was a gentle and kind man who will be missed by all who knew him. For those of you who have suffered a loss that we were unaware of, we send our love and sympathies to you and your family. May rays of sunshine help you heal. It is with a saddened heart to announce Donna Holland's last Tidbit for the newsletter. Though we end our Sunshine duo the end of May, she is leaving for almost a month's cruise. It is time for us to move on and new ideas to commence but I will miss sharing this role with her. She was always there and I thank her from the bottom of my heart. Tidbits from Donna: Don't Rule Yourself Out People of all ages, from newborns to senior citizens have been organ donors.
