Welcome to spring! Our March St. Patrick's dance was fun as 80 plus dancers took to the floor. We will host a different 13 piece band, Mainstreet Swing Band, who will play from 6 to 9 pm on Thurs., April 2. This band played here once last year and was a big hit. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Cost is $10 for members and $15 for guests. There will be a hors d'oeuvre menu on the table to request food service. Bring checks to early sign-ups on March 18 between 1 and 2 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom, mail or drop off at 4932 Rolling Hills (North side). Those people wanting to sit together please bring all checks and complete the sheet with all names. Look forward to seeing all of you! And who will you be taking to the Seniorz prom? A king and queen will be crowned that evening along with good food and good music Thurs., May 7. Menu: Choice of pork loin with apricot sauce, or chicken Marsala, pork and chicken dinners served with potatoes au gratin and glazed carrots, or vegetarian pasta with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. All dinners include salad and choice of dressing plus a special dessert. The cost is $24 pp members, $28 pp guests. At this event you will see formal attire (optional), flowers worn by some of the ladies, and don't forget to have your prom picture taken. SOCIAL CLUBS & GROUPS | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2015 | 17 During the past three months we have celebrated New Year's, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, along with various countries and some of their foods we identify with. For April, we will celebrate Germany and spring bursting forth all around us… and don't forget Easter. This evening is on the second Thursday evening in April. Main Clubhouse Ballroom doors open at 5:30 pm and music by Global Affair starts at 6 pm. They are sure to play a polka or two along with the usual dance selections. The dinner buffet starts at 6:30 pm by table call. You will find German brats with sauerkraut and red cabbage, chicken schnitzel, warm potato salad, and asparagus with carrots. At the tables will be a garden salad and warm bread pretzels with dipping sauce and ranch and Dijon salad dressings. Cream puffs for dessert along with coffee is table served. Iced tea will be found on a side board. Sign ups are on the first Thursday afternoon in April at 3 pm in the North Clubhouse. Cost is $22 for members, $25 for a non-resident guest. If you cannot attend after signing up, call Martie Steggell at 769- 3217 for a take out meal box. Info; Diane 769-9308 International Culture Club Dancing is one of life's simple pleasures and is its own reward. It can also be good exercise and an outlet for personal creative expression. Dancing with our group is an ongoing cultural learning experience, team- building endeavor, and so much more. There is an emphasis on fun and camaraderie. We invite you to join us. International Dancers For their first appearance at the 80s plus club we had the dynamic duo of Sheila, and Larry James. The James's are quite new to Sun Lakes, and what a great addition their talent will bring for our enjoyment. Sheila, and Larry gave us a very romantic Valentine's Day with several love songs, and the history behind each 1. Here are a few of the songs "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered" "My Funny Valentine," and Sheila ended with "Unforgettable," and the James's were definitely unforgettable. Thank you both so much, we hope you will grace our club again with your exceptional talent. April is a catered, dinner reservations must be to Dianna by March 31 to 845-1182.
