If the first falls on a Saturday or Sunday then sign-ups will begin on the following Monday. If a holiday falls on the first day of the month, sign-ups will begin the next day. WAITING LIST POLICY The waiting list is created by the Rec. Dept. for sold out events/excursions. This list is used (in order of registration) when the attendee has to cancel due to illness, doctor's appointment, etc. The waiting list is not used for additional sign-ups for secondary excursions that are scheduled due to their popularity. Contact the Rec. Dept. if you have any questions about either of these two policies. WE ACCEPT CHECKS ONLY. You can register up to 4 people (including yourself) per check, payable to Sun Lakes Country Club. All Recreation Classes, Excursions, and Special Events are open to residents only, unless otherwise specified. Due to some of the excursion refund policies, and to keep cancellations down to a minimum, we ask those who wish to sign up for an excursion to please check your calendar for prior engagements prior to signing up for excursions. REFUND POLICY: 1. Cancellations made 30 days prior to the departure date of an excursion or special event will qualify for a full refund. 2. Cancellations made after the 30 day refund deadline are not refundable. However, if an excursion or event has sold out and there is a wait list, the Recreation Department may issue a refund if the ticket can be resold from the wait list. Thank you! EXCURSIONS Melting Pot Food Tour & LA Farmers Market Wed., June 3, 9 am-5 pm, $54 pp. Today you will be heading out to explore LA's Original Farmers Market; a landmark unlike any other in Southern California, on an entertaining, informative and delicious Melting Pot Food Tour. Artisan butchers, bakers and candy makers, a gourmet grocery emporium with one of LA's finest cheese counters, an international spice merchant endorsed by Oprah Winfrey, local celebrity chefs, and more… there is so much to discover and more importantly, to taste at this famed Los Angeles location. "The Great Race Place" Located in Arcadia, Santa Anita is nestled in a stunning natural setting at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. The 2015 season is underway and we couldn't be more excited. Angels vs. the NY Yankees for an evening game, who wouldn't want to be there? The game will begin at 7:30 pm. You will also have stadium wait staff for food and drinks, as well as the full use of the "Knothole Clubhouse!" Santa Barbara & Solvang Mon., May 18 to Wed., May 20, $354 pp double, $545 pp single. We will stay for two nights at the beautiful Hyatt Hotel in Santa Barbara, across the street from the ocean. We'll have time to check-out the new "Urban Wine Trail" created by a group of like-minded wineries. On the third day, we'll head out to the Danish village of Solvang where you will be treated to a tasting and a mini-tour of the breathtaking Sun Stone Winery before heading back to Sun Lakes.
