Three members commented on the consistency with enforcing the architectural standards. This matter is being addressed. Staff will continue to enforce the governing documents as written. Should you have any questions or need any clarification, please contact the office of the Planning & Compliance Manager. 2. Two members commented that the South Clubhouse pool needs to have a consistent temperature maintained. Staff has addressed the matter and the indoor pool has been set for 85 degrees. 3. A member commented on a chorale event that took place in the restaurant. 4. A member commented on the need to ban dog walking from golf carts. 5. A member requested the Association allow a charity event to be held at Sun Lakes. Given the nature of the request, this matter is being address by the Board President privately. February Open Session Board Action Items • The Board accepted the resignation of the Delegate from District 1. • The Board approved for publication and membership comment, a proposed rule pertaining to the Age Survey Policy. Please look to see the proposed rule in the upcoming Lifestyles Magazine. • The Board approved a request for sponsorship at the San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Foundation's "Black & White Ball" Dinner in the amount of $1,000. • The Board approved the Marketing Advisory Committees request for a second publication in the "Military Officer" magazine for a total of $2,350.25. • The Board approved the facility use request from the Sun Lakes Charity for the week of June 8-14. • The Board approved for publication and member comment, a proposed rule pertaining to changes to the Age Limitation Policy. The proposed rule is on page 51 in this issue of Lifestyles Magazine. • The Board reviewed and approved a proposal for additional work on the main golf shop posting area. • The Board reviewed and denied a proposal to install automatic doors at the North Clubhouse, South Clubhouse and the Administration Office. • The Board approved for publication and member comment, a proposed rule pertaining to golf shoes in the main clubhouse. Please look to find the proposed rule in the upcoming Lifestyles Magazine. The rule change published in the January edition of Lifestyles (pg. 5) was not approved. • The Board reviewed and approved a request from the Recreation Advisory Committee to approve hosting the Relay for Life event at Sun Lakes in April. • The Board reviewed and approved a request from the Art League to have the Arts and Crafts Room painted a lighter color. • The Board reviewed and approved a request from the City of Banning to allow an e-recycling event at Sun Lakes. • The Board reviewed and discussed an "urgent communication system" at Sun Lakes. This would be used to communicate urgent information to residents in a timely manner. This was a discussion item only. • The Board reviewed and approved a request from the Golf Advisory Committee to allow the Special Olympics team to use the golf facilities in preparation for the upcoming Olympic Games in LA. • The Board reviewed and approved a request to initiate Intent to Lien/ Lien Letters for 14 delinquent properties. • The Board reviewed and approved a resolution to write off $9,649.63 in noncollectable debt. February Executive Session(s) Action (non-confidential) • The Board denied a request from a homeowner to waive fees from their account related to delinquent assessments. • The Board approved a request to forward two delinquent member accounts to the Associations collection attorney. • The Board approved a request to foreclose on the lien and record a notice of default on one delinquent account. • The Board approved a request to authorize the notice of trustee sale on two delinquent members accounts and denied authorizing the notice of trustee sale on one delinquent member account. • The Board reviewed and discussed pending legal matters.
