TOPS can help you reach your weight-loss goals by providing you with the tools, information, support, and accountability you need to be successful. You're not starting a diet; you're starting a new way of life. We invite you to become part of our TOPS family. We meet at the South Clubhouse each Thursday with weigh-ins starting at 9 – 9:50 am and meeting from 10 -11 am. You may visit once Free of charge. Membership is only $32 a year with $3 monthly chapter dues. You get a wonderful informative TOPS magazine six times a year. Our TOPS chapter recently honored members that reached their goals in 2014 and others that are getting closer. Our 2014 Chapter Royalty and Division winners are: Queen - Lou Evans; Runner-Up Queen – Patricia Chesnut; Div.3 - Agna Harper, 1st place; Div. 4 – Lou Evans, 1st place; Div. 5 – Nora Van Wert, 1st place. Congratulations to our winners! Other awards were: Lillie Brown and Peggy Andrews – Most Helpful TOPS, Dorothy Monterville and Fran Rayner – Most Helpful KOPS; Best Attendance went to Lillie Brown and Lou Evans with 44 weeks. KOPS celebrating their yearly anniversaries are: 1 year- Donna Leone, Patricia Chesnut Pat Bonarigo, Fran Rayner, Sandy Burgon; Four years – Marvine Cirar; Five years – Rosalee Strong and Dorothy Monterville. We also honored special guest, Audrey Nathan for covering our TOPS Awards each year. Thanks Audrey, great job! Look for our TOPS table at the Senior Health Fair on Thurs., May 14 at the Main Clubhouse from 9 am to 12 noon. We will be sharing information on eating smart, moving more, and how ongoing support are the keys to lifelong health. Tops (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Low Vision Support Group Join us for the new Low Vision Support Group. We meet the 2nd and 4th Monday each month from 10 am to 12 noon in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. The purpose of this group is to empower visually impaired people to live fulfilling lives. We will share information regarding the basics of blindness and visual impairment. We will discuss the emotional impact of sight loss and how to cope with the changes in lifestyle. During each meeting we will have a speaker and provide tips on how to safely get around your home and community. Resources will be developed to help our group. Info., Rita Skwara, 267-3054.
