FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2015 47 Spring has sprung and so has pickleball! We have added another morning due to the fast growing number of players. We now have open play time on Mon/Tues/Thurs/Sat from 8 to 11 am. If you are new or just want to observe, come at 9 when the numbers have lessened and you can get more individual help. Pickleball and paddle tennis groups are rapidly out growing our shared two courts. HELP! We'll have new hats and golf shirts with our logo available soon. If you have not ordered one see Nancy Barnaby to be put on her order list. Thank you Howard Levine for the logo design and Yvette Thomas for the shirt production connection. Nancy's phone is (951) 845-0842. Remember, if you want to play on the courts other than our open times,-you must check in the book at the front desk. Paddle tennis times are there and you can reserve play time for your own group to play. May 2 we had our first Four Seasons Pickleball Tournament! It was fantastic and enjoyed by all. All levels of players were mixed together using a point system. This made us all feel a part of the group and not separated by skill level. We had over 50 people play and come watch. After the tournament we had a pizza party and celebration at the Summit. We plan to have many more gatherings in the future. Thanks to Jesse Aceves and Nancy Barnaby for organizing our tournament. Your hard work really made our day. Congratulations to our winners! Nancy Barnaby and Cathy Kolodge tied for first place. Richard Carrasco and Chris Ingram tied for second place. The birthday girl, Vicki Howard, won third place. Keep moving-stay healthy! Info., Marty Key, (562) 331-0817 or keeksmail@yahoo.com. ~ Marty Key Pickleball Getting ready to play!
