50 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2015
As promised, here is the updated information regarding our
2015 Christmas gala. A planner/coordinator has been contracted
to organize the annual holiday celebration. Additionally, a band
has been hired to entertain. Tickets will be $50 and will go on
sale at a later date. Another great holiday party to look forward
to and we are now able to sit back and enjoy!
Cookie Bonner contacted the coordinator of the First
Missionary Baptist Church Praise Dancers. This is the group of
young people who performed at the Multicultural Gospel Fest
in February at the Four Seasons Lodge. Cookie noted that these
young people have no uniforms for their performances. She
polled the group to see if AACC members would be willing to
sponsor these young people by donating funds to help purchase
uniforms. A number of members supported the idea by giving
money. If you are interested in sponsoring the Praise Dancers,
please contact Cookie. Your financial support would be greatly
appreciated, as well as a source of encouragement for these
wonderful young dancers.
This year Juneteenth will be celebrated in the Lodge on
Saturday, June 20 between the hours of 11 am and 4 pm. It has
been suggested that each family bring their own entrée and one
dish to share.
The April 18 Natlie A. Reagins masquerade fundraiser ball
was attended in support for one of our own members, Dorothy
Cole. The fundraiser ball was held at the Riverside Convention
Center, in Riverside California. The fundraiser was for the Natlie
A. Cole-Reagins education and Cancer Research Foundation. If
you are still interested in making a donation, contact Dorothy
Cole or go on line to the www.natliefoundation.org.
For more information, please contact Betty Ann James at

you at the meeting. ~ Wanda Valentine
