16 OUR YUCAIPA | JULY 2015
The Yucaipa Woman's Club is calling all Yucaipa area service clubs
to participate in an annual calendar creation event that they hope
will generate a yearlong calendar highlighting each club's planned
events.
The event is planned for 5 pm, Mon., Aug. 3 at the Woman's Club,
35215 Avenue A in Yucaipa. Virginia Cosby, First Vice-President at
the Woman's Club, said a representative from each club will have a
turn at the microphone to tell about their club and their upcoming
plans for the year.
Then each club can turn in their 12 month schedule for inclusion
on a master calendar which the Yucaipa Chamber of Commerce will
post on their website.
Cosby said she hopes the calendar will help avoid any scheduling
conflicts in town, and will also enable clubs to help each other.
"If we know when the Lion's Club will be delivering their glasses,
we can help with a drive for that," said Cosby. "Or maybe we can
help the Elks or other clubs with something. We have so many
great service clubs in Yucaipa, and I hope that by creating a master
calendar, we can all work together."
