25 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | July 2015 | Why "Walk Fit?" Per Leslie Sansone, creator of the Walk Fit program: "Walking is what works for almost everyone, regardless of size or fitness level. No matter how out of shape you are when you start, you can lose weight through walking and become healthier and happier in the process" Leslie continues, "What is it about walking that makes it more successful than other exercise? Part of it is the simplicity. (Almost) everyone can walk. It's so easy, in fact, that some people are skeptical about whether you can really get in shape just by walking. But studies are confirming: walking is excellent exercise. According to the New England Journal of Medicine, walking just 30 minutes a day, three times a week, reduces the risk of death from all natural causes by 55 percent." The "Walk Fit" Exercise Club encourages you to give our class a try. You will find a group of smiling faces having a good time while exercising. New members are always welcome. The class consists of seven different Leslie Sansone "Walk Fit" DVDs. The easy-to-follow routines are set to music with varied tempo. No memorization of routines is required. Three of the DVDs incorporate resistance bands (bands & weights optional). You can tailor the class to your own needs and schedule. The full one hour class is a four mile walk, but you can join us for as much as will work for you. You can leave early or arrive later to shorten your walk. If you can only be there one or two days a week, that's okay too. We meet in the Lodge Ballroom Mon., Wed. and Fri. from 7:45 to 8:45 am. Both men and women are welcome. For more information contact: Karen Tuvim at 599-4236 or Kay Masonbrink at 223-3047. If you have questions regarding our program, please call Dave or Karen Tuvim at 599-4236. Apples, Pears & Hourglasses As many of you know, there is a very special group of ladies here in the community who have bonded together to form the WIT Team. This group of ladies all share a common bond, the loss of the love of their life. This group of ladies meets the first Monday of every month in the Bistro at 5 pm for dinner and lively conversation. After dinner, for those that are interested, we adjourn to the Crafts Room for a couple of games of "nickels," a fun, easy and fast moving game with a jackpot of nickels! This is your invitation to come join us and be a part of the WIT Team here at Four Seasons!
