| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | July 2015 | 26 Exercise in general is crucial for women over 60 years old, and strength training is particularly helpful. The aging process makes muscle and bone deteriorate, flexibility disappear and metabolism slow. Regular exercise can slow these symptoms of age and help keep the body healthy for as long as possible. We always like to remind attendees that if you don't continue with strength training, you lose the benefits very quickly. Thanks for your continuing support of SASY! Bocce Dart Club Does Bocce have a past? Yes it does, the Bocce club will start their 10th year as an outdoor club this September. Sign up for the Bocce club will be on Sun., Aug. 16 at 2 pm in the Ballroom. Remember at least one person from your team should be there to sign up although most teams come together to scan their competition for the new season. Also we have players who do not have a full team that need to buddy up with part of a new team or players who have only 1 or 2 players willing to play and need to fill a full team with new players. Everyone will have a chance to play and forming new teams is just part of the fun for the Bocce folks. If you have never played remember this is a four team effort and most players share their techniques and skill to players who need help. With this article are teams from previous years that have won the Championship Game at the end of their season. Reflecting back a few years you will recognize some of our players. The Lehman Family of Fun team won both 2007 and then again in 2012 in the spring league. Toby's Gang won their Championship in 2012 and then again in 2014. And the Bocce Boomers won their Championship Game in 2013. Hope you find it interesting looking back at some of these photos. Mark your calendars because the sign up will be here soon enough.
