It is wonderful to have such great talent in our club to play
alongside of and to share their inspiration.
That was evident this month when our friend Kenny Payne
tore through the opposition to win the 8-Ball Tournament,
hands down. Kenny is another of our members who has played
pool for most of his life and demonstrated his skill by winning
5 straight games to take the championship this month defeating
MaryAnn Diehl in the final game.
In 9-Ball action this month we may be witnessing another
player come into his own. Larry Rice, one of our newer
members, along with his wife Shirley, recently joined the 8-Ball
club and are becoming a force to be reckoned with. Larry won
six straight games and was pitted against Gary Christie in the
final match, which he won.
Congratulations to Kenny Payne and Larry Rice, our monthly
tournament champions!
Monthly 8-Ball Club Business Meetings are on the first
Wednesday of the month at 7 pm.
Our team practices together at 7 pm on the first and third
Mondays, every Wednesday and every Friday.
The In-house 8-Ball tournament is on the second Wednesday
of every month at 7 pm.
In-house 9-Ball tournament is on the fourth Wednesday of
every month at 7 pm.
Our "traveling tournaments" are the second and fourth
Mondays of the month. The second Monday, we travel to Hemet
Solera and the fourth Monday Solera Hemet comes here.
Check the 8-Ball Club message board in the Billiards Room
for any changes of dates or locations.
