| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | September 2015 | 22 The Happy Campers escaped the heat for a few days in July at the Metro San Diego KOA Campground and Resort in Chula Vista. For the majority of our time the group relaxed at the campground enjoying the facilities which included a private club room for our evenings and just relaxing in the fresh air in the South Bay. One afternoon we ventured to the popular Point Loma Seafood Market and restaurant situated on beautiful San Diego Harbor where we were served some very good seafood. On another afternoon the entire group (20 Happy Campers in all) toured a Top Fuel Funny Car facility where Chuck Beal, a long time Top Fuel Funny Car driver and the owner of Chuck Beal Racing, provided a personal hands-on tour, answering questions and giving his insights into the sport of NHRA drag racing. Judging by the comments everyone had a very enjoyable week. Our next venture will take place Labor Day week as more than 20 rigs and 40 Happy Campers travel north to Pismo Beach for a week on the spectacular central California coast. There are so many things to do and see in this picturesque area that we will surely run out of time before we run out of fun. This exciting trip will be led by Four Seasons residents Ed and Linda Wetter, who have led several caravans to the area in the past few years. If you have an interest in RV travel and group camping check us out. Membership is free and open to all Four Seasons at Hemet residents. We meet in the Lodge Multipurpose Room at 9:30 am on the first Saturday of each month (unless we're traveling). Drop in on one of our meetings, if you do, you'll meet a great bunch of fun and friendly Four Seasons Happy Campers.
