13 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | September 2015 | Social Committee September is back to school for our grandchildren, but for the members of the Social Committee we go forward as September is traditionally our time to plan the upcoming social events for next year, for our residents of Four Seasons! As we look forward to 2016 we would welcome your input for ideas and or suggestions for an event to be included on the Social Committee calendar. If you would like to chair an event and organize a committee to work with you, please be assured that you have the complete support of the Social Committee to assist you with planning, menu selection, band and or entertainment, tickets, publicity and so much more. Just ask us, we are always happy to comply to make the event a success for you, your committee and another evening of enjoyment for all of our Four Seasons residents. You can always leave your suggestions at the Lodge Front Desk or call one of the members of the Social Committee. As we look forward to the remaining months for this year, in addition to Music on the Plaza, which is always a special evening, our upcoming "Car-toberfest" on Sat. Oct. 24 is always a fun day with classic cars, arts and crafts and a wide selection of food and beverages, and of course, all of this is shared with your friends and neighbors right here at Four Seasons. Facilities Committee Well the dreaded annual street slurry is over. The Facilities Committee will review when other streets in Four Seasons were last sealed and inspect them to determine which, if any, need to be done in 2016 and make a recommendation to the Board. The next project that has been approved by the Board is the replacement of the 39 overhead street lights that are our responsibility to maintain. These sodium vapor (yellow) lights are relatively short lived when compared to the latest LED (white) lights. We will see a savings from using less electricity but more so a savings from not having to replace them so often. Now the remaining sodium vapor street lights belong to either Southern California Edison or the City of Hemet. Once our responsible lights are changed out, we will try to convince the other two owners to follow our lead. We have also converted all the Paseo lighting to LEDs. We have purchased 30 Chaise Lounge Cushions for the pool lounges, 29 were replaced and because of a non-repairable lounge chair there is one spare cushion. The other lounges were purchased two years ago and did not require replacement. Please do not slide these lounge chairs, pick them up and use the wheels to move them. The CCTV cameras that were installed by the builder have been replaced with much better state of the art cameras. Some are High Resolution Wireless Cameras and others are hard wired. This system has a DVR with 16 channels and it will hold a month's worth of data. The Lodge WiFi Project will be finished by the time you read this article. It will provide much better coverage throughout the Lodge. The tennis ball pitching machine has been replaced with a Wilson Portable Ball Machine. The tennis players really like it. We have a number of other maintenance and improvement projects in progress or in the development stages. These include the relocation of the horseshoe pits, Bocce court clay material renovation, world cup gate motor operators. Remember, if you see something that is in need of repair (light not working, missing/broken tile, lose hinge) please fill out a comment sheet at the Lodge Front Desk. We are all owners of the common area and want to keep it well maintained. One last request: Please pick-up after your pets! We are seeing more and more pet poop as we make our inspections. The grounds keepers are not paid to pick up after your pet.
