| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | September 2015 | 6 From time to time I peruse the past year's articles to see if there is anything worthy of mention. Most of the time there is, and this month is no different. Last September's topic, the drought, which then turned into a full blown "emergency," was the headline topic. The association's water usage on the grounds has been reduced to be within the Governor's requirements, and we are monitoring all of the irrigation systems accordingly. The Landscape and Facilities committees continue to actively plan ahead for ways to reduce costs and with the help of our landscape maintenance vendor, O'Connell Landscape, to maintain the common areas in a neat and attractive manner. There are a couple of important legal projects that are underway, or will begin to be. The first item is the 2016 Annual Budget. We have begun the steps towards the budget being finalized in November. The Board will be approving the budget at either the September meeting, or if more time is needed, at the Oct. 28 Board meeting. More to come. Secondly, it's time to re-verify our senior status. It seems like we just did it, but it's been two years. We sent out the forms in the monthly billing and we will follow up with an e-blast at the end of the month. We are asking that if you received the forms to please take a few minutes and fill them out and return them to the Lodge as soon as possible. If you did not, please stop by the Lodge and pick them up. We hope to have cooler weather and some rain this year. A couple of reminders: obey the posted speed limit, pick up after your pets, and be considerate of your fellow neighbors. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation and have a peaceful Labor Day. A Message From Your General Manager By Rick Ruth, CCAM Keep Those Four Seasons Photos Coming! Thank you to everyone who has been sending us photos! We still need more cover shots, though. We're looking for photos that capture the unique beauty of Four Seasons Hemet. Whether it be a stunning sunset, a beautiful day on the golf course, or a gorgeous garden, please send us your favorite shots from within the community. Please send in your high-resolution, digital submissions to hemetherald@yahoo.com. Be sure to write "Cover Photo" in the subject line. And if you take a photo of an event with people, make sure you have their permission to submit the photo first.
