Last month I gave you a list of upcoming events through the end of the year…I hope
you marked them on your calendar, because each one will have something special you don't
want to miss.
Near and dear to my heart is the upcoming Car Show and Street Fair on Sat., Oct. 24. I
hope you have asked all your friends and family to save that date. The committee is working
so hard on putting together an amazing day for you. This year we are going with a theme
—"Car-toberfest" — with all the fun of Oktoberfest, plus much more. We will have a live
band again this year, plus additional entertainment, and our Beer & Wine Garden will be back.
Special food from Francisco, plus the "Devilicious" food truck that serves soft-shell crab
club sandwich, butter-poached lobster grilled cheese, crab cakes, duck confit grilled cheese,
smoked ham… so many good things. Check out their menu at www.deviliciousfoodtruck.
com/menu. We are still looking for crafters with hand-made arts and crafts to participate.
If you are interested, contact me at the office or Royce Jerman at royce742@gmail.com.
We can use volunteers at the Car Show. If you are interested in helping out, we need you.
We have lots of jobs: directing traffic, parking cars, judging, registration helpers, help with
vendors, etc. Let me know if you are willing to help.
See you around the Lodge.
