Premier World Travel Presentation Wed., Sept. 23 at 10:30 am in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. All are welcome to come and join Premier World Travel as they go through a beautiful slide show along with a knowledgeable presentation for the upcoming 2015 – 2016 trips with Matt from Premier. This will be a very informative presentation and light refreshments will be served. Sat., Sept. 26, Main Clubhouse Ballroom doors open at 6 pm, show is at 7 pm. $10pp. A Los Angeles favorite, Strange Days is one of the most celebrated tribute acts in North America. This incredible band captures the magic, mystery and madness of The Doors in their prime with songs like "Riders on the Storm" and Light My Fire." As the founding members of Strange Days, guitarist Robert Carsten and keyboardist Michael Jacobson have worked with some of the most well-known Doors tribute bands around. By combining vintage instruments with the latest technology, Strange Days offers both an authentic on-stage look and unmistakable sound. This will be a memorable show that you definitely don't want to miss out on. From their sound to their wardrobe you would think it was the original Doors reincarnated up on the stage. This show will be theater seating, first come first served. Comedy NIghT Fri., Sept. 18, Main Clubhouse Ballroom, doors open at 6 pm, show at 7 pm, $7 pp. Enjoy an evening of laughs with Corporate Comedy Entertainment, featuring three great comedians from the Los Angeles area. They are guaranteed to make you laugh until you drop! This event will be table seating. There will be cocktail service in the Ballroom and an appetizer menu from which you can purchase from. Lottery dates were Aug. 10 – 16. Checks only, limit 4 people per check, 8-10 people per table. Table assignments are posted in the Recreation Office Hallway. Here are a few tips on how to keep your health in tip-top shape. Get moving - Exercise regularly to maintain a healthy body and brain. Stay social - Take a class, volunteer, see old friends, and make new ones. Stay balanced - Practice yoga or tai chi to improve agility and prevent falls. Take a hike - Brisk daily walks this September can bolster both your heart and lungs. Sleep well - Talk to a sleep specialist if you don't sleep soundly through the night.
