Ballroom & Social Dance The next three months require some changes to our line- dancing schedule. No new dancers will be accepted during October, or November. (I am having surgery.) Also classes from Oct. 20 through Nov. 10 will be led by various advanced dancers. No dances will be taught; just dancing to known dances for pleasure and exercise. And finally, line dancing will go dark (no classes) from Nov. 17 through the end of the year. Classes will resume Jan. 5 for everyone. If there are enough new dancers, and I am able, I will do a beginners only class again shortly thereafter. Thank you all for your support. The line dancing class has grown and usually has from 20 to 30 dancers each week. At our age we need to keep dancing. It is good for the body and even better for our minds. And did you ever listen to the lyrics? They all tell a story; some we can relate to and others are just plain funny. All music helps us to relax. So turn on your music, dance and relax. ~ Martha Franck 30 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2015 Do you enjoy dancing? Heart and Soul Line Dancing is in Da House! We meet every Monday evening in the Ballroom at 6 pm for introduction to dance, 6:30 pm for beginners dance, and from 7 to 8 pm for more advanced dance. Our schedule includes a different dance every few weeks. First will be the Foxtrot and Foxie, which are the most versatile and usable dances of all. Later we'll do the Rumba, West Coast Swing, Cha Cha, Waltz, Tripe Time Swing and others. Our excellent instructors take you step by step through each dance. If you'd like to get ready for year-end festivities and events, just stop by and take a look. You might be surprised at how much fun you can have learning to dance, so give it a try. The Christmas Dinner Dance will be our next event, held in the Ballroom on Friday, Dec. 11. It will include a full dinner, a wide variety of music by the live band of Christopher Landry and Shine, and a great opportunity to dance your shoes off. The event starts at 4:30 pm with dinner at 5 pm and music and dancing until 8:30 pm. Cost is $25 per person. Dressy attire. Tickets available by Friday, Oct. 30, when you see our poster in the Lodge.
