13 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | October 2015 | Social Committee The Social Committee has two more months with fun-filled and exciting events to round out our calendar year for 2015. The next big event in our Ballroom is Sat., Oct. 17 for "A Magic Carpet Fantasy" and magical it will be. This will be a "first" for Four Seasons which is being chaired by Chris Pounders with a team of talented and creative ladies who have been working "behind the carpet" for the past several months. If you have not seen the publicity for this event, stop in at the Lodge and see the creativity of Diane Corte – a real masterpiece of art. Tickets for an evening of magic and fantasy are $28 pp and are available at the Lodge front desk, for residents and their guests. Francisco has planned another gourmet menu. In keeping with the theme for the evening, entertainment will be provided by Maureen Davis, a very talented Belly Dancer plus Vinyl Pirates will also be in the Ballroom for your listening and dancing pleasure. It has also been said, that a certain gentleman will appear as the Sulton for the evening… who will it be? Remember Sat., Oct. 17 — you will not want to miss this special evening here at Four Seasons! And to end another wonderful year, New Year's Eve… more next month. And the beat goes on… Facilities Committee Welcome to October, when the temperatures are more tolerant to our residents and plants. We worked diligently over the summer to assure that our Four Seasons looks and feels as great as when it opened. As you may have read in the September Herald, we have many large projects in the works or awaiting bids; e.g., new tables for the Ballroom, horseshoe pit relocation, World Cup gate motors, LED street lights, evaluation of the maintenance of interlocking pavers, and spa replastering. Most residents may not know that the Facilities Committee also looks at parking areas, curbs, gutters, storm drains, sidewalks, fire hydrants, mailboxes, lights and light poles, signage as well as the lodge/spa/pool, tennis courts, pickleball courts and all of the furniture and equipment in the pool, Lodge, Bistro, and exercise rooms. We inspect every month and evaluate all suggestions from residents and management. We do this out of the desire to maintain the integrity, beauty, and sustainability of our Four Seasons in a manner that is both cost effective and cost justified. If you are aware of any issues that you think should be evaluated, please do not hesitate requesting a forum at one of our meetings or simply fill out a Resident Communication form. Have a great autumn, and please remember to drive safely and wisely within our gates.
